Verico Care

Our formulation brings together three traditional homeopathic approaches:

1. Biochemic Salts

Biochemic salts are traditionally used within homeopathy and are selected according to their traditional indications and the individual's overall symptom picture. Within Verico Care, they form part of a complementary approach to supporting general leg and vascular wellbeing.

2. Mother Tinctures

Mother tinctures are concentrated plant-based homeopathic preparations traditionally used for specific therapeutic indications. The mother tincture component is selected according to its intended supportive role within the formulation and the individual's overall clinical picture.

3. Potentized Homeopathic Medicines

The potentized medicines are selected according to traditional homeopathic principles and the individual's symptom pattern.

Homeopathic prescribing may consider factors such as:

• Location and appearance of the varicose veins
• Aching, heaviness, burning or throbbing
• Leg swelling, particularly toward the end of the day
• Itching or skin sensitivity
• Symptoms that worsen after prolonged standing
• Symptoms that improve with elevation or rest
• Night-time cramps or leg discomfort
• Skin colour or texture changes
• Previous episodes of superficial vein inflammation
• Pregnancy history and occupational standing
• General health and associated symptoms

Verico Care is intended as a complementary, individualized homeopathic support, not as a substitute for vascular assessment or medically recommended treatment.

Not every visible vein requires treatment, but painful or symptomatic varicose veins, significant swelling, skin changes, ulcers or other complications may require medical or vascular evaluation. When assessment is needed, duplex ultrasound can be used to confirm the diagnosis and evaluate venous blood flow.

A brief consultation is recommended before dispensing Verico Care so that the individual's symptoms, medical history, medications and any previous vascular investigations can be reviewed.

It may be considered as complementary support for individuals experiencing:

• Visible varicose veins
• Aching or heaviness in the legs
• Mild leg discomfort associated with prolonged standing
• Ankle or lower-leg swelling associated with varicose veins
• Itching or skin discomfort around affected veins
• Recurrent leg discomfort associated with established varicose veins
• Individuals seeking an individualized complementary-care approach alongside appropriate medical follow-up

Supporting Everyday Leg Wellbeing

Alongside appropriate medical care, everyday measures may help reduce symptoms associated with varicose veins. Regular walking or other appropriate physical activity, avoiding prolonged standing or sitting, maintaining a healthy weight and elevating the legs when resting may be helpful for some individuals.

Compression stockings may also be appropriate for some people, but they are not suitable for everyone, particularly those with certain problems affecting arterial blood flow. The appropriate type and level of compression should therefore be discussed with a healthcare professional.

When Medical Evaluation Is Important

Varicose veins should be medically assessed if they are associated with:

• Persistent or troublesome pain, aching or heaviness
• Significant or increasing leg swelling
• Changes in skin colour or texture
• Eczema or other skin changes around the veins
• Hard, painful veins
• A sore or ulcer on the leg that is not healing
• Symptoms that are progressively worsening

NICE recommends vascular assessment for symptomatic varicose veins and for complications such as skin changes, superficial vein thrombosis and venous ulcers.

Bleeding from a varicose vein requires urgent medical attention and vascular assessment.

An Important Note About Varicose Veins

Verico Care should not be used with the expectation that it will remove, permanently eliminate or guarantee the disappearance of varicose veins.

Established symptomatic varicose veins may require evidence-based treatments such as endothermal ablation, foam sclerotherapy or surgery, depending on the individual's vascular assessment.

There is currently insufficient reliable clinical evidence to establish homeopathy as an effective treatment for eliminating varicose veins or correcting the underlying venous valve problem.

If a healthcare professional has recommended vascular treatment, compression therapy or further investigation, Verico Care should not be considered a replacement for that care.
